28th of April 2010 in the Cabinet of Minister’s of Ukraine the Commission on green investments, alternative and renewable sources of energy round table on the topic “Legislative initiatives for stimulating development of renewable energy in Ukraine – “green” tariff” will take place.
The key participants are: Mr Sergiy Titenko - National Electricity Regulation Commission Head; Mr. Sergiy Ermilov - National Agency on efficient energy use Head; representatives of Verhovna Rada Committee on fuel and energy.
Round table will be focused on cooperation of business and authorities with the goal on creating favorable conditions for the renewable energy sector development.
Round table agenda includes concrete legislative initiatives discussion that had been prepared by the Commission with the focus on the “green” tariff mechanism.

Entrepreneurs Council under Cabinet of Minister’s of Ukraine
Commission on green investments, alternative and renewable sources of energy Entrepreneurs Council under Cabinet of Minister’s of Ukraine is a standing consultative and advisory body under Cabinet of Minister’s of Ukraine the main goal of which is support to the cooperation of authorities and business. The activity of the Council is realized through functioning of permanent and temporary Commissions.
Commission on green investments, alternative and renewable sources of energy is the permanently functioning Commission of Entrepreneurs Council under Cabinet of Minister’s of Ukraine, the goal of which is support to the creation of adequate conditions
for the development of renewable energy and wider use of renewable power sources as well as attraction of green investments into the economy of Ukraine.
In accordance with this goal Commission serves as a platform for leading collaboration of business with state central and local authorities in fulfilling the following main tasks:
1. submitting to the regulatory authorities proposals according to the necessity of revising legislative acts in the sphere of renewable energy and green investments;
2. gathering and dissemination of the best local and foreign experience in the sphere of renewable energy and green investments
3. participation in carrying out monitoring and controlling the effectiveness of entered into force legislative acts and preparing recommendations for the Cabinet of Minister’s of Ukraine, central and regional authorities for stimulating further development of the industry.
Commission is also carrying out the work in the direction of development and support to investment projects that are intended on the achievement of the main Commission activity goal.
For 2010 such topics were chosen for the work of the Commission to be focused on:
- “green” tariff mechanism improvement and other state incentives for stimulating development of renewable energy in Ukraine
- Kyoto protocol mechanism improvement and other state incentives in the sphere of decline in greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere
- development of mechanisms and instruments for financing “green” energy projects in Ukraine
Members of the Commission are the experts that represent Ukrainian and international business entities implementing projects, Ukrainian and international law, consulting companies, national institutes, non-governmental organizations and individual experts.
